I was admitted into UCLA, Davis, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara as a Sociology/Pre-Sociology major but am considering changing my major to Political Science or International Relations (both are within the "social sciences"). Has anyone heard of or changed their major once admitted as a transfer student at a UC? Specifically, UC Davis?

Thanks.

should be fine.
All you have to do is complete a certain amount of pre-reqs for the major you want to switch into and then declare it as a pre-major. Then after you finish all the pre-reqs you can start upper-divs.

To make sure, just call the department

you should be fine at any of those except UCLA which is impacted.

i just called davis, the poly sci dept advisor informed me i need to be a sociology student for a quarter before i can attempt to declare another major and then i must sit down with the dept. chair and go through my transcripts to see if i have enough pre-reqs to declare poly sci as a major.

thanks everyone.
