Difficulty Of Admissions to Villanova

How hard is villanova (business school) to get into when their websites claim

general admissions:
99% of our accepted first year applicants ranked in the top 30% of their high school class, and the middle 50% range for the SAT is 1320-1420/1600.

Business school:
- Size of incoming class in 2008: 451
- Number of applications for admissions received: 4,500
- SAT mid-range scores for typically-accepted students: 1360–1440

where ive seen on some sites their average sat is a 1270 and sat for business (business week) is a 1282 but both about a 3.7GPA
is this just admissions inflating the numbers?

any help would be beyond amazing

According to my friend who is now a senior majoring in chemical engineering at Nova, their standards have gone way way up in the past few years.

yea, my uncle is an admissions officer there, and he says, compared to the past couple of years, they are really REALLYY raising their standards. thus, that is why you are seeing the big increases in sat scores...especially into the business school...villanova actually has one of the best business schools too, so its harder than you may think to get in

Sites like College Board are 2 years out of date at a time when selectivity is going up at good colleges. Believe the highest numbers you read.
