I am going to be taking a placement test for math as I have not taken an AP test for math. I have completed 4 years of math in HS, so the UW recommends that I take the Advanced Math (Precalculus) Test. From the website: "The highest you can place with this test is 1st quarter calculus, MATH 124 (or MATH 144 or Q SCI 291)."

Has anyone taken this test in the past? Is it hard/easy? I am fearful that I will do bad on it and will be placed in a low math class..

There was another thread just like this one. Its a really easy test. there’s a practice test online somewhere. If you can’t pass, you really should be in one of the lower classes because it means you haven’t mastered some basic math stuff you’re going to need

I’m assuming 124 is the calc I class.
If so then the test you’ll be taking probably looks to see that you know what basic algebra functions do. I would review polynomials (up to 4th degree or so), exponents, logs, graphs, order of operations, trig functions and identities, ect.

ilikeUW, Go here and take the practice exam.
