Hello all,

Hopefully I am posting this in the right section. Sorry in advance if my post is not too long. But right now i'm in a bit of a dilemma between colleges and was wondering if any of you can help...

I started college 10 years ago, it was at a community college in New England, I went full-time and graduated with my Associates in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design. After that, I took a break to work and moved to Massachusetts and then to California and attended some classes as a non degree student at the local community colleges in the area (making that a total of three community colleges) but always wanted to finish by Bachelors Degree.

I decided to go back to college and applied to a state college in San Diego for the fall of 2010, and was accepted. But due to some financial reasons at the time was unable to attend after paying my $400 intent to enroll fee. As a transfer student I had to wait to re-apply for the fall semesters, and in 2011 AND 2012 was denied when I applied.

So after being frustrated because time has been wasted, in 2012 I decided to just attend my local state college in New England, knowing I would not like it, as it was not in the area or school I wanted to be in. My major is Fine Arts - Graphic Design.

Well a friend of mine in California told me to re-apply to the school in San Diego, so I did, but with hesitation ... and this time was accepted. My major there would be Arts - in Multimedia. The only issue now is I do not know if I should just stay at my current school, or transfer to the San Diego school after applying there so many times?

With the exception of a lab science I have finished all my General Ed. courses at the New England school, but they are basically making me re-take a bunch of art courses even though I had good grades in them (they probably want money since the other art students who transferred are doing the same).

Not sure what I would need to take at the college in California yet.

Right now my transcript has courses for 4 different colleges, attending another school would make that 5 schools...is that bad for employers? What is a more marketable degree Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, or Arts Degree in Multimedia? Does anyone know why the school in California would categorize me as a PRE-Major?

The current school in New England has 7,000 students ...the school in California has 27,000 students, (i'm sure many students are online though). The school in California would be a bigger school, more of a campus feel I guess. My current school has an acceptance rate of 70%, the school in California has an acceptance rate of 30%, which is low for a public state college. US News ranks the New England school slightly higher for regional/national universities ... but they are both in the 100's category.

So, should I continue to tough it out and sacrifice well-being for a cheaper degree? Or should I just go with what I wanted in 2010 and relocate?

I don't want to make my posting any longer than it is so far. But I look forward to any and all responses.
