I'm heading into my junior year and I'm planning to take the US History test some time this fall since I already took US History during my sophomore year. When browsing through which texts I should use in preparation for the test, I came across AMSCO, and I heard that it was a pretty good book to use for studying. However, it's an AP book, and I didn't take APUSH. My US History course wasn't AP necessarily, but it was a pretty rigorous course.

Do you think I should still use AMSCO in order to prepare for the subject test? Or am I just wasting my time and should just get other books? Also, a lot of reviews said that the text was able to get them very good scores on both the AP exam and the subject test, so if I do use this book, should I just test in the AP exam in the spring as well?

I consider myself a pretty strong history student, but I'm just not sure if I should use an AP book.

Thanks in advance!
