dilemna...advice please

I am gonna be a hs senior in like 2 weeks... and here is my question for all you cornellians out there. I have been working on a science research project for 3 years+ and its involves E. coli (a common bacteria in foods) and it has alot to do with microbiology and food safety. also my sats are reasonably in the right range (except cr ) and i have a list of pretty good extra curr. stuff

*would it be wiser to apply to Food Sciences in CALS or Nutritional Sciences in HumanEcology?
*which of the two is easier to get into?
*to which school would i be a better match (in general...considering i would be taking other courses not relating to my major, as well)
*which school would probably want a student like me more?

any input would be appreciated and i can learn alot from your experiences...so please help meeeee

one thing you may consider is which of the two (if not both or neither) will you get in state tuition..i personally dont know

further, if money is not an issue, ive heard the state colleges are harder to get in to for in staters bc more in state competition

well, those are both state endowed, so there's no issue there. But I think overall the food science program in CALS is very good.
