Dinner for 12 Strangers

Anyone ever done this before? I'm thinking about it, but no one I know has done it before. Is it worthwhile?

how do u sign up, i wanna do it

i did it last year
and really liked it. the food was really good
and it was just cool talking to literally 12 strangers, err 11

Do it! I did it last year as a freshman.

At worst, you get a free dinner with people who are on super friendly mode.

At best, you get to make a couple of awesome friends, and network with the hosts.

where do you sign up?

Through the UCLA Alumni Association's website, I think the deadline is the 27th.

UCLA Alumni Association

free food?

I do it; have done it; will do it, and me and my co-hosts are BEYOND awesome, and, yes, we provide great free food and drinks.

Definitely do this! I had an awesome time last year, still talk to one of the guys from that night.

I've been to many dinners and I haven't actually kept in touch with anyone from there (that I didn't know before), but I know of people who have. Either way, it's a really cool experience.

Bringing this back up to the top, since I just got my UCLA list and am impressed that they got it RIGHT this year. A LOT of English majors (yea!) and people with interests in French and politics. I hope some of you are on my list.

For those of you in English and French, do you have any recommendations for fun or interesting English or French professors that I should invite? We get at least one prof. and I've found if I ask, I usually get what I want if the prof. is free that night. Let me know on this board or PM me.

Thanks!
