I really don’t know how I got in, but I’m glad that UW CSE took a chance on me.

You can check DA or regular based off the major listed on the unofficial transcript.

If you got DA it has something like “Major” vs. not getting it which is “Pre-Major/Pre-Science/Pre-Engineering”

Dont know how you got in? What’s your IB predicted amulyab?

How did you guys know that you got direct admit? Was it from letters or online?

Major: Computer Engineering
Unweighted GPA: 4.0

ACT 32

Courses: Took all APs that fit into class schedule (not that many really), I did not take AP CS

ECs: A lot of very unique and impactful Computer Science related ECs, among many others

I also have some personal experience with the department in the past, which probably helped me as well.

Turns out my letter says “Pre-Computing/Engineering” even though my unofficial transcript says “Computer Engineering”.

I was told after calling the CSE department to email the department advisers to figure out what’s going on.

As of now, I’m not sure about my status as DA.

@admit4wit the only class i got a predicted score for was Bio which was a 6

Major: Business Administration

I also wrote a short supplement to why I specifically wanted to study at Foster, which I believe supported my application.

Major: Computer Science
UW GPA: 3.99

I also have some awards and have done a lot of comp sci related programs such as DigiGirlz, GirlsWhoCode, UW Intro to CS for high schoolers, etc. and have done internships as well.

My essay for UW was probably the best I wrote, and I wrote another specific essay as to why I wanted to be admitted into cse.

I honestly I don’t know how I got in, but I am so excited that I did.

Any DA bioengineer admits?

Major: Biology (Physiology)
UW GPA: 3.79
W GPA: 4.05
SAT: 1960
ACT: 30

I honestly decided to apply at the last minute and wrote my essay the night before it was due. I’m from out of state (California obciously) so I wonder if that had any affect on my application. I love the school but out of state tuition is ridiculous but hopefully I’ll recieve some money.

I’m from out of state which proves that Washington doesn’t only accept in-state CSE direct admits!

Major: Computer Science
unweighted gpa: 3.99
Weighted: n/a
SAT: 2260
Courses: AP chem, calc ab & bc, physics c, stats, computer science ab, us history, world history, lit, lang

There is another thread somewhere for CSE DAs to get to know each other. Hopefully we can get more people to join it.

Where is that thread? …for 2020 CSE DA at UW?

Thanks…
