hey, what happened to the rest of my meal plan choices on campusexpress. it only shows me the quaker one, the blue one, the red one, and the liberty one along with the summer ones, and i know there were tons more before! did i miss my chance or are they coming back?

Experience the joys of being a freshman.
They force you to choose between one of those four (the most expensive ones, of course) meal plans. It originally happened as a result of the food service company not making enough money and threatening to shut down dining halls.
It's actually not too bad, though, because it's nice as a freshman to be able to eat in a cafeteria-style dining hall and see everyone you know.

what no way. thats so awful. i totally already planned on picking one of the cheaper ones. i'm upset. ok well, now i guess it makes the choice easier.

hm.... I am thoroughly confused now. I was able to sign up for the market plan.

oh! when did you sign up?

ouch, that bites

I did that too during my freshman year. I thought I beat the system, but then I got an email in August telling me that the plan I selected wasn't available for freshmen. They forced me to change to one of the new ones.

so now this sucks, because my financial aid monthly budget plan thinks i'm getting a cheaper meal plan, but i'm actually stuck with one of the expensive ones. so now, do we just keep paying as if its for the cheaper one, and then at the end of the year penn will bill us the difference?
