I'm a rising sophomore... Several months ago, I signed up for a meal plan. Since, however, I have decided that I would like to forgo a meal plan.

Is it possible to cancel this before school begins?
I read somewhere that you can do this by filling out a form and incurring a $100 fee.

Anyone know if/how cancellation of a meal plan can be done?

I'm sure you can cancel, and knowing Penn there is probably an absurd fee associated with it. One of my friends definitely did it so it is definitely possible.

haha yeah i'm sure there's a heinous fee as well

and thank you! good to hear that you know of someone who did that.

^Didn't I tell you there was no reason to sign up for a meal plan?

The only reason I decided to switch is because most of my friends are forgoing meal plans, and I don't really feel like eating at Commons by myself.
That's a bit stalker-ish though...

On a slightly more relevant note: Can anyone corroborate crashingwaves's response that it is indeed possible to cancel a meal plan? I can't find any information about it on Penn's website.
