<p>I was told in the Common App they require you to check a box stating that you have been found of a disciplinary violation. Does this mean any type of violation? Not cheating, but if my school records detentions, am I required to check the box?</p>
<p>i had the same question and through research and stuff i found they only want big actions like suspension or violence, one detention won’t hurt anyone 
make sure your counselor is aware too! you wouldn’t want to have her/him check the box on their form.</p>
