<p>The Common App apparently asks you and your counselor to report any disciplinary violation from 9th grade onward that resulted in disciplinary action "including but not limited to: probation, suspension, removal, dismissal, or expulsion from the institution."</p>
<p>Do I have to report a detention from last year that isn't even on my record anymore?</p>
<p>Does it mention detention in that little bit there? Nope.</p>
<p>Nobody cares about a detention.</p>
<p>Not trying to sound mean or anything, but worrying about one little detention that isn’t even on your record is a waste of time and brain capacity.</p>
<p>If it isn’t on your record, then it isn’t important enough to put on college apps… Plus, they listed the examples, and detention wasn’t one :P</p>
