<p>My D has already left a deposit for Discovery House for fall. Don't know anything except what we read on the website.</p>
<p>My son is in Discover House and it's been GREAT for him. He wasn't sure he wanted to be there; he hoped to be in East halls but Discover turned out to be perfect for him. It's a tight knit floor where the kids really get to know each other. The RAs are much more attentive than in regular dorms. My so wasn't a partier in High School, and he's told me that only 2 guys are drinkers on the floor, and that the others have a great time heckling them when they come in drunk from parties(!). He and his friends go to Late Night Penn State and similar activities. </p>
<p>Discover House students have the opportunity to room together in Sophomore Year, in a different SLO. My son signed up for it right away.</p>
<p>It's easier for guys to get into Discover House than it is for girls - because more girls apply. Good luck!</p>
