Deciding If I should go, current students opinions appreciated.

ask at the Cincinnati forum, OP.

Pros: Great school with tons of great programs, beautiful campus, lots of activities going on all the time, located close to downtown so you’ll always find something to do
Cons: Expensive, not a lot of financial aid (scholarship wise) is given out

Overall, I love UC and have no regrets going here, but even as an in-state student, it is still very expensive for the lack of financial aid I received, even with my scholarship.

Visit both. Fit is very important to college success. If you’re not successful, college costs too much no matter where you go.

Alanahlovee I agree it’s a bit pricy but with financial aid and scholarships i got a total of 6,000 off. Will they decrease my financial aid next year? Because if they lower them then my family might not be able to afford it. What did they do for you. Will I get the 2,000 dollar university need grant next year?

Emanwich14, we don’t know what type(s) of aid you’ve gotten. The UC Financial Aid office does. You, or your parents, really need to call them and just ask. They are there to answer your questions.

Emanwich, I’m not sure how grants work, I did not receive any. It really depends on the government funding, so anything could happen, but I don’t think they usually change the amount they offer for grants or for scholarships. The only issue is loans - the amount you yourself can borrow for loans increases each year, which will likely decrease the amount you receive from, for example, a ParentPLUS loan, since you’re able to take more out yourself. I’m not entirely sure how likely it is that financial aid will change this year, but mine didn’t change by a lot. I would definitely contact the Financial Aid office and ask them, though.
