so i've decided for sure to take 4 classes this fall (i'm a freshman) but what i wanted to know is, is there a difference (in easiness/difficulty) between classes with lectures + discussions and lectures without discussions?

thanks!

More free time might be one thing.

Depends on the kind of classes you're taking. My one lecture-only class so far has been English R1A. Because my prof was really cool and we had a small class it was pretty easy. But then again I didn't really like the fact that it was at 8am.

Anyway, if they're general breadth req's a lot of students don't go to lecture anyway, so your lecture only classes become like small discussions and your lecture+disc become only discussions.

Post your classes if you want more feedback.

If one of your lecture-only classes is philosophy, they actually do have discussions, you just don't sign up for them through telebears.

in theory, i guess discussion classes should be harder, since discussions are meant to drill in the info from lecture
