Distant Davidson?

Have you guys received much in the way of correspondence from Davidson since applying?

I feel like they've mailed me something once or twice at most and pretty much only e-mailed me in direct response to a question or query I've sent them.
I'm not asking them to write me a love song, but would a postcard or a friendly e-mail be too much to ask?

Hmm…as I recall, I didn’t start getting many emails from Davidson until late-March, early-April, and the emails were all related to being accepted. Actually, I don’t remember many of my colleges sending me emails and letters post-December (think NYU was the only one, and they sent wayyy too much). I would imagine they don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up, in case of rejection.

But don’t take their lack of correspondence as a bad sign. They’re really busy in admissions this time of year. EDII stuff is winding down and they’re working hard to get the Regular Decisions made. Additionally, they have several tour groups and info sessions to manage each day, and there are surprisingly few people working in the admissions office.
