Im just curious, do you know if during admissions Columbia considers an A- lower than an A? I heard from some people that an A=A- during admissions because they only look at GPA.

Thanks

how does this make sense, if they only look at GPA, an A- =/ an A

Hm. But at my school, gpa is calculated so that an A- has the same point value as an A or A+. Ultimately, my question boils down to whether Columbia, or colleges in general, look at specific grades, or if they just focus on GPA.

oh okay well you should’ve explained

yeah they’ll look at your grades. probably even moreso based on the fact that gpa’s probably are bunched at 4.0s. its the only way to see who actually is an all a student and who is an all a- student.
