Hello,
I was accepted to Fordham and am very seriously considering going. Right now I am unsure about just how diverse Fordham is. My second choice is Temple, and while I realize Fordham is more difficult to get into, Temple offers so much diversity in every way. People from different background, both ethnic and economic can be found at Temple. How much different is Fordham in terms of diversity.
Thank you in advance.

If the money is around the same, do go visit both places and try to stay overnight.
Temple's crime rate, lack of on campus housing make it (imho) much more dangerous. Also I think because of lack of housing on campus, less of a community feel. It has a lot to offer in many other ways. If not for my concern about the area and these issues would have looked closely for DD.

Fordham is very diverse, It is a beautiful campus and great education

i'm from philly and interested in fordham. here in philly temple is looked at as a really local college, i guess the temple's rep is better among out of towners. but the neighborhood around temple is terrible and has been forever, fordham's area in the bronx is much safer than north philly. i do like how temple is really diverse though, when i visited fordham it seemed like there was a good amount of black and spanish people there but not nearly as much black people as temple. i didn't notice that much asians at either school.

I have visited both also. I do know that Fordham is much safer, some good friends of mine were actually assaulted just a few months ago outside Temple's campus. I'm just not sure if Fordham gives off the vibe of a prep school. I'm kind of looking for the best of both I guess.
