Does Cornell normally accept walk-ons for Div I Men's Lacrosse or would it be very unlikely?

It’s probably pretty unlikely considering how good our Lacrosse team is. I’m not saying it’s the best, but especially considering the 20k+ students on campus, you’re probably going to have a lot of guys that want to get on the team as competition. You could try a rec team.
Btw, I play girls lacrosee and I’m only an incoming freshman, so I really wouldn’t know. This is just based of what I’ve heard about the boy’s lax team their.

Yes, they do. Where are you from/whats your experience? My advice would be to go in and meet with Coach Kerwick asap.

My freshman year I practiced with the team in the fall as well as playing club ball but ultimately joined a fraternity/partied too much and gave up on the dream. Looking back, I definitely wish I stuck with it. Also, Coach Kerwick is a huge improvement over DeLuca and I think the coaching change would provide you with a better experience than mine. Definitely join the club team as soon as you get to campus even if youre walking on too. It will introduce you to a bunch of dudes and give you more time to practice. In the end, our club team is pretty good and you can have a blast if you don’t end up playing.

Let me know if you have any other questions or want some help getting in touch with people. Also, I will be a senior and know all about your situation and know all the kids on the team and stuff so feel free to message me orwhatever

Also, if you’re an athlete you might want to look into sprint football. I never played football before and joined it because I missed playing competitive athletics and got to play d end and it was an incredible experience.

It has happened in recent history, when Tambroni was the coach. The club team is very good however. Get in touch with Coach Kerwick now while it is summer time.
