Kiterunner18, the important thing is you’re accepted and know you’re going. These people are dealing with lots of students whose travel they’re going to have to coordinate. My daughter heard a few weeks before she left. We’re on the west coast and I think they attempted to put all of the students from the LA area on the same flight (it was convenient for the college in terms of pickups from the airport).

I got accepted today! YAY!!! Thanks to kiterunner and everybody else for keeping me sane :)

Anyone here about their travel arrangements?

YAY! Congrats 10scholar!

And, no, collegesgirl. I haven’t heard back yet :(

I’ve faxed in mine and haven’t heard either.
If I remember right they were going to email us the travel arrangements? Anyone sure about that?

If it is the same as when my D went, they will e-mail you with the name of their travel agency in MA, then you call them to make the arrangements.

As there has been some discussion about the travel arrangements, I just wanted to let everyone know that I just received an email from Amherst asking me to contact their travel agent I expect others will find the same :)

^ I just received the email as well! :)

Anyone have an idea on how many attend in Sept, then Oct.?

Around 100 each.

Anyone book their flight yet?

Yes, already have a flight!

I booked my flight today and they sent me the itinerary. Sorry if this sounds stupid, but do I just print that out and bring it with me? I’m new to the whole electronic ticket thing. . .

yes, but you can get the electronic ticket the day prior to your flight. You can print it out 24 hours prior to your flight. Just go on line of your airlines and put in your flight information (and confirmation number) and you can avoid the lines at the airport.

yes, the day before, you should be able to go online and get a boarding pass. You take that and your ID to the airport (names should match).

… wonder what the weather will be like, probably only bring a bag on the plane and not check it in, although then you are limited to how much liquids you can bring.

I don’t even know what my confirmation number is! -_- darn technology

It’s on the receipt you received. You can also just put the flight number in and the ticket will appear.

Don’t forget that you need to bring your sleeping bag, so you will probably need to check your bag and carry on your sleeping bag. Check the 10 day forecast on weather.com, as the weather can fluctuate this time of year, warm during the day and quite chilly at night.

Was there an itinerary or Final details memo with a packing list and stuff like that send out yet? I don’t remember getting one but in an email i thought it said one will be sent out at a closer date and since it’s this weekend shouldn’t it be out by now or did i not get one yet since i did not make arangements via travel loft?

I just got an email saying the packing list, contact numbers and other last minute info today…
