Divorced Parent doesn't want to pay anything

Yes, it goes both ways. Just be the second spouse to either and you see it in a whole new light. But, some men because they have the finances will hound, litigate and aim to destroy the custodial mother, especially if she filed for divorce. And the court allows this because as long as the father is engaged he is paying, and that is all they focus on. Keeping the kids off public assistance. I always said my ex husband stalked me through the courts and it was condoned by the courts. 17 yrs because he was a lawyer and could litigate for free. Had he physically stalked me or harassed me over the phone, they would have put a stop to that pronto, Stalking through the court system is the most effective way to destroy a person and it is sanctioned. It is the ultimate spousal abuse. The courts have a blind eye to it all.

Just food for thought. Glad I am finished, but it is never over.

Yes, there were signs and I was blind to them. He was so so charming at that time and I was very very naive. I made a horrible choice, so now I, and more importantly my children, have to live with the consequences.

She was accepted to New College of Florida, which is still a 4 hour drive from father. With the out of state full scholarship to Ohio State, Ohio State is cheaper by around $5k a year. Her final decision is between those two. The two schools could not be more different in atmosphere, but there are things she likes about both. New College is also more likely to be more liberal than what she is.
