So I won these awards. Are they significant when going head to head with an ivy league. I know grades and test scores and EC count but what do you think of these awards! Thanks. Will they help me in any shape or form.

NOAA Saving the Pulse of the Planet Award
Certificate From the United States Army
Certificate From the United States Navy
Yale Pewter Medallion Award
United States Department of Commerce Certificate/Recognition
American Meteorological Award
Intel Science and Technology Fair Meritorious Award Recipient.

Thanks So much

Depends on what the award is for and how prestigious it is. For example, a small organization I volunteer with won the US Army 2012 Spirit of Hope Award. While I did not personally receive the medal, I was recognized in the award ceremony at the pentagon. I explained this to the colleges I applied for so they would understand the prestige of such an award, but also so they would see that I was not the sole recipient. You never want to over-exaggerate your accomplishments.

Long story short, you should list these if you clearly explain the awards and in what context you received them.

Congrats on all your success, and good luck with the admissions process=)

Thanks! It’s a research project I listed the awards and sent my research paper to them as well! I also orovided the website of the competition
