umm, Dima343, just because Great Britain is british doesn't mean they're all british descendents

A lot of English guys look very rodentish to me, but most of the accent's I've come across are alright.

The US Southern accent is by far the best of any, though. No bias, of course ;)

that british guy in that amanda bynes movie was hot... what was it called? What a girl wants?

If you ever come by a scouser you'll know because it sounds like they're talking with **** in their mouth

Heh, I'm gonna have to talk to Aaron (English friend) about this after he gets off work or whatever he's doing. He's much more patient with my dumb questions than any of you would be. lol

Eek I live in the south for 10 yrs and absolutely hate the southern accent... seems so redneckish..? proper british english seems much proper though so that's why i like it...

Ya Im moving to Texas from Cali, I HATE the southern accent. Sounds so unintelligent.

"proper british english seems much proper though so that's why i like it..."

Some Brits I know have a penchant for slurring thier words together. I'm not too sure but I think it's the cockney accent....maybe?

Standard Midwestern (the english you hear on CNN) and British RP seem to be the most fluid and easily understood.

new york accents are hot. i was born there, and go back to visit my family a lot, and WOW. ;)

It only sounds unintelligent because y'all make it out to be that way. The same could be said about most American accents depending on who you ask.

Example: I think heavy New York, Philadelphia and Boston accents are disgusting and make people sound like complete morons.

I think New York accents are pretty cool. But southern......uhhh no.

If not being able to pronounce your 'r' sounds correctly is cool, then sure.

You know it's funny how people get "more southern" or "more east coast" depending on who you talk to.

I'm from California, but I had a friend from old miss go on a trip with me to Virginia. I remember the night we got to the hotel, I had to take a double take when Amy spouted off with all the 'yalls' and 'gits'.

But I do say dude, man, and hommie the closer I get to the pacific.

UMV.........those are jews... ur confusing your self

Matt, that's so the truth. When I'm talking to people from a city (or when I'm on vacation) I lose a lot of my accent. Even more so in debate. I don't even try, it just happens.

Oh, but when you get me in a room with people I'm very comfortable with and get us to talking? There's no doubt that I'm Southern through and through. I also lay it on thick when I'm making fun of certain stuff/people to family.

It's more of a game to me than anything else. I use a ton of different accents according to what I'm joking about.

I was actually at a party with a british the guy the other night, and the accent definitely made him pretty popular with us ladies.

British accents are amazing. I guess I'm a little biased since I lived in London when I was younger, but I just can't resist a British boy. Even if he's average looking, the accent totally adds 10 pts to him :P

I was hit on by a drunk Irish guy for like 20 minutes a few months ago. If it was an american guy, I would have just walked away, but the accent just made me stay. I can't help it, they're adorable.

I don't like English accents generally. Rarely they can be cute but generally there annoying.

i LOVE english accents and generally think/assume (correct me if i'm wrong) that english guys have much better manners towards girls compared to, say, asian guys.
