I took around 30 units of UC-transferable community college classes in 2001-2002, then I stopped going to school because of family business. In 2007 I started going to community college again (a different community college than the previous one) and I plan on applying to university soon. Now I know I have to submit all college work, but will the classes I took in 2001-2002 still be eligible for transfer credit, despite the fact that they were taken over 5 years ago?

Thanks everybody!

Yes.

I went to CC in 2001 and transffered in 2006. The courses i took in 2001 satisfied my IGETC requirements .

(I did not attend full time all the years in between)

yes. i took a class while in hs in 2003 but didn’t start my actuall full-time cc education until 2006. your grades are there forever.

To satisfy the 60 units requirements or IGETC or the 7/9 Breadth requirements, yes. However, if you plan to use the course(s) to satfisy a pre-requiste, you might want to check up on that w/ the specific college you’re applying too.

Example: Berkeley, HAAS, states that prerequisite courses must be completed no more than five years before admission.
