If you didn't have a great gpa score in high school but got a high score of your gpa in CC does it affect you when transferring in university.

It depends on the policies of the university in question, which may in turn depend on how many years of college/credits you’ve taken since high school.

If you have good grades in CC, then some universities may not look at your hs grades. It depends on the university. Most just look at your CC work when transferring.

It depends if you have taken enough credits in CC. If you did, they won’t care about your HS GPA, just your CC GPA.

From every college session I attended (not transfer sessions, but questions were asked, nonetheless) as long as you had some significant amount of CC classes, then the high school no long mattered. This may be different at other colleges, but I heard this at at least 5 very different colleges.

If you get a 4.0 at your CC, then no, your HS GPA won’t matter. If you get less than a 4.0, then the schools are going to rely more on your HS GPA in order to gauge how well you’d be able to perform.

most of colleges don’t even ask for your HS record.Unless you have less credits than what they ask for…

GO to the Common Data Set for the school you are interested, section D. It lists there what info is used for transfer admissions.

Each college and university specifically states on its website who is considered a transfer applicant, and under what conditions a transfer applicant is required to provide high school transcripts. You do need to check each one separately because each of them sets their own policies, and the policies can change from one year to the next.

Yes, of course they look at your gpa. Study hard and do well son.
