Do colleges consider old test scores during admissions?

BIG question-
I was stupid and took peer advice in taking the ACT after the SAT w/o studying for it. Anyway, ACT was worse than SAT, I CANNOT believe how anyone thinks ACT is easier. Getting to the point, I sent ACT scores to Harvard, and they stink (28). I'm taking SAT in October, expecting 2200+, especially after I start prepping for it. What will Harvard do with my ACT scores from June? Say, I reach my goal, and earn a 2250 on the SAT in October. Will Harvard count the ACT scores against me?

Schools claim that they only look at an applicants rightest score whether that be ACT or SAT. Assuming schools do what they say then HArvard will not count your lower score against you.

Students experiences with the ACT and SAT vary. I have always heard to consider both because for a small percentage the students will do particularly better on either the ACT or the SAT. So notice, some students do better than the SAT and not the ACT. Most students score pretty much the same on them both. My daughter was an “ACT is better” person w/ 2080 after months of prep and and 33 then 35 ACT w/ no prep. A friend of mine’s daughter was like you and the “SAT was better”. For, my son they were essentially identical.
