Pretty much I'm have a very hard time working, taking 5 classes, and moving all at the sametime. I'm considering withdrawing from my English class because out of all my classes I'm strugglin' to keep up with that one the most. I'm trying to transfer out west(UofA, ASU, or Loyola Marymount) because my family is moving there so I was just wondering if that would hurt my transfer chances any? I'm pretty much failing this class right now.

If it's only one W, then it's not too big of a deal. Once you start to get over 2, I'd start to reconsider.

I have one "W" on my transcript at present because the prof and I did not get along at all and if I had continued in that class I probably would have failed the test not just because of that but also because the course was way too confusing for me!

Since I'll be taking its "replacement" this summer, there's no really big deal. Everyone's allowed one or two "W" grades in my opinion. I did it for my sanity.

A transfer school/employer/grad school won't care about that one "W" but if they see like five of them they'd probably worry. Just make sure the rest of your grades are decent. And if you get a tricky interview person, be ready to give a good explanation on that "W"...yours sounds pretty legit.

er...less than Fs?

W is way better than an F, and usually better than a D. As long as you only have one or two, i don't think it would affect your transfer chances that greatly if your other grades are good
