Do colleges look at ACT composite or the sub categories? Or both?

I got a 32 on the ACT
34 English
35 Math
27 Reading
33 Science

My problem is the reading section. This was my first time taking it, so yes, I know I should take it again. But I’m just wondering if it matters that I got so low in reading because everything else compensates for it. The schools that I want to get into require a composite score of 31 or 32 minimum, and I have fulfilled that requirement (even though I know I should reach for a higher score to have a better chance). Do the individual scores really matter, or is it just the total overall score that the colleges will focus on?
