Do colleges look at quarter or exam grades, or just final grades?

I got an extremely high B (92%) on my math final today. I finished with a 94% for the year, as I had a 97% this quarter and a 91% (B) last quarter. Will colleges see my exam scores and be like, “this guy isn’t smart?”

And by the way, our grading scale is currently like this. I live in NC and we are changing to the normal 10-point scale next year.

A: 92.5+
B: 84.5-92.499
C: 76.5-84.499
D: 69.5-76.499
F:<69.5

I don’t know if this varies from school to school but the way my school does it is that colleges only see the final grade in each subject, which is the average of all the marking period grades for each subject since we have four marking periods. If your report card has a separate column for final exams, then they might see it but the best way to know for sure is to ask your GC.

Hey, I live in NC too  Are you for or against the change? There’s a lot of controversy or something like that.

Wow that is an AWFUL grading scale. Glad I don’t go to your school, or I’d be screwed!

I am for the change. Seriously, a 92% is not good enough for an “A”? In some other countries an A begins at 70%! All the B’s I’ve earned would be A’s on the 10-point scale.
