Do colleges look at senior-year ranks?

When I applied, I was in the top 12-13% of my class. My senior grades were pretty good and bumped me up a few percentage points. I know it's not a significant change, but it does get me past the 10% mark. Since I sent in mid-year grades, will they notice/take this into consideration at all?

Also:
At the time of applying, I knew I was one of fifty finalists going to a national competition. The competition had three rounds with eliminations as follows:
Round 1: 50 -> 20
Round 2: 20 -> 5
Round 3: 5 -> 1
I made it to the second round - is it worth updating colleges with this info?

Thanks for any answers you may have to two fairly obscure, arcane, and trivial questions - I'm just anxious and fretting. Thank you!

Okay, so I refuse to go down the whole "bump bump bump" route, but some insight on this would be appreciated, should anyone be willing to bequeath it.
