Do colleges only care about your composite ACT score or also your subject test scores?

I got a 35 on the July ACT, but my subject scores were math: 36, english: 35, reading: 36 and science:31. My raw score comes down to a 34.5 and I am worried colleges will look at that differently from just a 35. Thoughts? Will colleges actually go through and calculate my raw score? Should I retake the ACT then?

No. You’re done. Great job. Move on to other aspects of the application.

There is no one sure answer. The higher the competition, the more sub scores related to your major can matter. It’s one reason the constant CC advice to find the right matches and safeties is important.
