Do colleges (specifically Ivy's and Uc's) look at all your scores?

Ya i knida took the sat for the first time and screwed uup 1770. i just wanted to see how i would do. Now i actually plan to study and i know im capable of getting a near 2350...so lets say i did that, considering i got such a low score the first time, would it actually help me get into college or after seeing the 1770 would they immiediately reject me?

[bump! does anyone know i really am worred

ME TOO help lol

From what I have read the even ivy's take your best score in each section. I would not worry too much about uncharacteristicly low scores as long as you do end up performing well on future tests

UC's will take your best combined score from one sitting. You can't mix and match your best scores.

u say to make sure the rest of the test we take have good scores but what if our bad one is the msot recent

All of the schools will consider only the best score, so don't worry about it. If you dropped a lot, they might ask, but otherwise they don't care. Sucks for the ones that don't take the highest from each section!!

So is a 140 drop something they will ask me about, or should i tell them ahead of time that i was sick, or would it seem like an excuse, i shouldve just canceled but i was desperate to get my verbal up but couldnt read or concentrate worth a d*##. ?????

How would i tell a college about this?
