Do Colleges, specifically UC's, know whether you have visited them?

Do Colleges, specifically UC's, know whether you have visited them? OR do they ask whehter you have visited them in your college app? Or do they not care. I always thought it made more sense to visit colleges that you get accepted to, and then decide which one is the best. But if you get a competitive edge if you have visited colleges, I want to visit colleges as soon as I can. I am a senior now so the only time I really can do college visits is labor weekend probably. Anyone know? Thanks.

If you go through one of their usual visiting times and do a tour , someone records that you have been there since you do sign in. However, the UCs don’t care one iota whether you have visited because demonstrated interest including visiting is not a factor considered in the admission process.

UCs don’t care. No competitive edge. But they will tell you what they are looking for and you can target your chances.
