Do community college remedial classes count towards a bachelors degree?

Right now I have 32 community college credits. 10 of those credits though were math 098 and math099, remedial classes that aren't college level. so, if i get 45 credits but the end of this year and transfer fall 2014, will i be a 2nd year or will i be a 1st year with 22 credits basically? i don't understand how it will factor into how long i will be at college. should i aim to get 55 credits by the end of this year so i will have 45 college level classes credits?

Nope. Usually remedial classes are only there for institutional credit I think, but I know for certain they don’t usually count for credit.

No. The only thing the count for is your community college (and possibly university) GPA.

It depends on how they transfer but most likely they will not count. You need to ask the school you are transferring to to make sure.

Probably not if they are below the level of the lowest math course offered at the school you transfer to. But check each school to be sure.

The local college in my town doesn’t allow it. They’ll count in for GPA purposes but not for an associates degree (only one they offer).
