Good Morning Guys, Im a high school junior. I love science, mainly biology. To pursue my interests, I have completed several online courses on Coursera about medicine and biology offered by various universities. With the knowledge that I gained, I have created a platform to educate individuals regarding various types of diseases, obesity , and a plethora of other information. I wanted to find out if placing the Coursera courses within my college application would help. Thank you!
You can certainly list the courses on your applications, but the courses themselves carry no benefit in admissions, IMO. What you do with the knowledge that you’ve gained from the courses may make you a more interesting candidate.
@saisrinath2001 Don’t take the courses just for the college application. Do it because you actually want to learn. I took the courses you listed above because I was interested in possibly applying ML into the medical field and I wanted to get a strong foundation before venturing off on my own.
