Do extra credits cost money?

Since I was interested in graduating in 3 years, I would be taking more credits each year. I was wondering if over a certain amount of units, they would start tagging on a fee for each class, or if each unit costs money.
How does the system work? I know at some schools the cost of attendence covers up to 18 units of classes per semester and the rest is extra. I couldn't find anything like that on Berkeley.
HELP please!

Simple answer: no.

Don’t forget AP credits count towards the 120 minimum for graduation.

However, each college has a limit on the max credits you can earn per semester - might have to petition to go above that.

Also keep in mind that summer gives you an extra half semester effectively, turning each calendar year into 1.5 effective years if you really exploit summer session.
