Do freshmen need cars?? How many freshmen bring cars? Also are there parking lots?? Also.... can I bring my electric scooter to the school campus? It looks like this...

Have you ever been to NYU to visit? No one in their right mind would even consider bringing a car to NYC. Parking for the year would probably cost you as much as you'll pay for housing. ;) Why on earth would you want a car? I also don't recommend one of those scooters. There are too many people and cars in the city for anyone to easily use one of those. Walking and subway are the two usual methods of transportation.

no you don't need a car. Parking garage is like $300 a month. you don't need a car. Depends where you live if you want to bring the scoot.

PS did u ever take that off any sweet jumps????????

is this question a joke?
no. no you dont need a car. :)

yeah seriously, are you kidding?

NJ...I love Napolean Dynamite! That was my fave part of the movie! As for hertish, he does seem to be asking incredibly inane questions...rescinded because of a B? Maybe he has a very dry sense of humor that we're all missing...or at least I am!

You don't need a car at all, but if the money of having to keep one in a garage is not an issue, its nice to have one (btw, I live in Manhattan and do keep a car in my building's garage..its rarely used, but good to have). Freshmen or anyone else at NYU do not need cars. Everything at NYU is pretty concentrated (dorms, classes, gym, etc.), so one can get to everything by walking.

If indeed you do want to keep a car, its a about $300 a month to keep it in a garage. If that type of fee is not a big deal, keeping a car is a nice perk at NYU...it'll be great for out of town trips, and might come in useful at certain times (like if you're shopping or don't feel like using public transportation).

Yeah, but good luck learning to drive in NYC. It's insane.

Thanks for the replies guys... I guess I'd have to give my electric scooter to my little cousin :(
