Do high ranked frats allow Asians?

Do frats such as Delta Tau Delta, kappa sig, ATO, and Pikes allow non white people?

Like asian and people from india?

Thanks guys!

Let me put it this way:
I know two Indian kids who got kicked out of a “high ranked” IFC frat house for being brown- not for misconduct, not for “not being invited”.

wait, so they were in the frat and then they got kicked out? Or they went to a party and someone made them leave? And which frat was it?

They got kicked out the frat party and I won’t say the exact frat name because I don’t remember exactly.

wow thats messed up. Does anyone else have input?

I personally wouldn’t recommend asians to join frats/sororities.

I have a Chinese friend (he lived in South Africa his entire life but was Chinese by ethnicity) who joined a frat at USC - needless to say that he feels awkward and the other guys intentionally do things to make him feel unwanted. He left and now dorms with the non-greeks.

Frats/sororities are very typical.

No, no you should join!! I’ve met plenty of guys that aren’t necessarily anglo and they all seem to be just as happy as any of the other guys. At least give it a shot; you’ll find which frats work for you and which don’t - and you have time to decide before they you pick them/they pick you and you pledge.

My sorority is diverse in race and it’s like who cares - we’re all girls regardless we have fun.

Sororities are different from frats.

There are Asian frats you can join

@Ace6904. Thank you for stating the obvious. However, both are essentially congregations of people with similar interests from different backgrounds. Neither persons from either group has to be of the same race (unless you join a race oriented frat; which most will say they aren’t but it’s clearly represented that they are - who knows you might like those).

Jimmy13 - you’re just going to have to decide to give it a whirl or not and see what’s good or not for you. But if you get the wrong impression from one guy - don’t think it’s the whole frat. Best of luck! I say look at the ones that are meant to be and are diverse.

Firstly, I would not call ATO nor Pike “top frats”. Secondly, it truly depends on the group of guys you are getting yourself associated with. Honestly, it is the south, and you are going to encounter a realistic fair bit of racism by joining an IFC fraternity (especially sometimes among the older alumni).

I do not mean any insult by this in any way, but know what you may be getting yourself into. Fraternities are not always welcome to ethnic diversity.
