Do honor programs/classes help chances?

My dream school is USC, and I plan on applying after this Fall quarter.

My CC has an "Honors Scholar" program (which also fulfills TAP requirements), where you have to take 6 Honors courses with a B or better, and have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Would taking honor programs/classes help my chances? Or should I just take normal classes and get a good GPA? I would probably get a higher GPA with normal classes, though I never know haha.

I've already decided that UCLA isn't for me, so the TAP completion wouldn't be useful to me, but I don't know if schools really care about WHAT classes you take, rather than just what GPA you have.

jsw1188, I’d recommend you take as many honors courses as possible.

If its an Honors Scholar’s program, then usually there are great financial benefits. I would totally do it cause many times its something along the lines of half tuition or paid room and boarding - something like that…
