Getting involved with the hospital as well as EMT

You’ld want stronger academics (gpa/SAT) so as of now your chances don’t look good.

Higher GPA/ACT is needed for bs/md. Apply to few see what happens.
Take care of your GPA in college. You will need min. 3.6+ if plannig to apply to Med. Schools in a future (regular route)

I would say your chances are very low, unless you have some outstanding EC accomplishments. I would start planning about how to do well in college so that you have a good shot at medical school through the regular route. Look at the threads for Drexel bs/md, which is only a middle tier program. Some applicants with ACT of 35 and 4.0 GPA did not even get an interview this year.

Yeah, thats what I thought…thanks though! I realize this is a common question but do you guys have any recommendations for a good pre-med school that is achievable for me?

I don’t think it really matters where you go for premed as long as you can maintain a good GPA there and get some research done.

If you can swing it financially get a SAT/ACT tutor or Kaplan or Princeton instruction.

Pick an UG school that gets at least 40% of its UG’s into medical school
