I am applying to a few boarding schools and I was wondering if I would get accepted. I got a 95% on the ssat but I have four b's from the year. I got one b the first quarter and three the second. I made a few mistakes the first half of the year, and the second part I got straight A's. I am applying to Hotchkiss, Holderness, St.Marks, Cushing, Andover, and Deerfield. I know I have a pretty good chance with Holderness and St.Marks as my family has legacies at both, but I'm not sure about the others. There is a large focus on extra curriculars with me, I have played hockey and lacrosse for eight years, rowed for three, and I play the Viola. I'm also in advanced math and science. This is important as I'm considering repeating a year and I really don't want to do that.

Your SSAT scores are impressive! While you may have heard thousand times here, they alone do not guarantee your acceptance into top schools. If you could tell the schools in more depth about your passion and achievement on your ECs, you will have a better chance. All the best!

Really nail your interviews. Get in contact with the schools NOW. School like to know that if you they give you an offer, you will accept it.

prep - cart before the horse - he can only message that to one school, and even then, it would be premature to do so, kind of desperate looking.

Only if your ego precedes your will to get into a good boarding school. Just my opinion.
