I have an 1800 SAT score (580 reading and math and 640 writing) and a 2.8 cumulative GPA, but this was because I had awful grades freshman year. I had alot of things going on that my counselor included in his recommendation letter, but I still had a 2.0 gpa freshman year and was receiving ds and failed one class. My transcript show an upward sloping trend of my grades, and I have a 3.33 cumulative gpa for junior year, and am sending my senior year grades, which are all A minuses except for one B+. I have also been active in Habitat For Humanity, have employment experience, participated in a program that helps teach kids about reading/writing at my local library, and raised $2000 for illiterate Malawians and built a school for them through BuildOn. Do I have a chance even though my cumulative GPA is bad?
