do i have a chance at UMD?

<p>I know my SAT scores are low for UM. I have taken 8 honors classes and 2 AP classes. I also really involved, I am the president of the Heritage Club, Interact, Key Club, SNAP clinics, VSTA, and I also have work experience at a summer camp. </p>

<p>My essays (even though they probably don't read them) were strong and personable. I have also been in contact with my admissions counselor(the person who will read my application) so they know I am interested in UMD. </p>

<p>I know I really dont have a chance, I have seen the charts and graphs so I know that I will probably be rejected on the 31st. Can I just get some 2nd opinions?</p>

<p>It doesn’t look encouraging. UMD is very numbers driven, and they ignore the essay. They like to see your CR & M scores in the 600+ category, and both of your scores are fairly low for them. That being said, there’s always a chance. I hope you get good news on the 31st!</p>
