Do I Have a Chance at UT Austin?

I'm currently a Junior in CA, and I am extremely worried about my chances of getting into UT Austin. I am ranked number 2/500 in my class, and have a 4.0 weighted GPA (all A's since Freshman year). I took the SAT only once in March and scored a 1900, and plan on taking it again in a couple weeks, and based on my practice tests, I plan on getting around a 2000. I plan on applying Pre-Law, and have had an internship at a law firm a couple of summers ago, and am part of my school's Mock Trial Team. I'm worried about acceptance at UT because of the limited space due to the Top 8% Law. Please let me know what you think, and what I should do to improve my resume!

Hook 'em!

Actually i believe you are pretty much a match for UT. The percentage keeps dropping too I believe it is gonna be like 7% or even lower. They are doing this to make more room for other non-auto admit students. Just get the sat above a 2000 and u should be excellent!

^ This guy knows what’s up.
Given that you’re top 1%, your acceptance letter will arrive really fast.
You’re fine - one of my classmates with a class rank similar to yours got into UT Liberal Arts with a 1500 SAT.

the average SAT for an out of state Ut admit is 1946 if that helps. Congrats on your class rank, that is awesome!
