Do I have a chance of being accepted into Clemson?

I'm a junior in HS and looking very seriously at a few different universities. One that I have grown to like is Clemson, but worried I won't be accepted. Do I have a chance?

out-of-state
interested in biological sciences
taken mostly honors classes with a few AP's mixed in
28 ACT
4.4 weighted, not sure what my GPA would be unweighted
varsity basketball, 1 year of soccer, part of NHS, SNHS, link crew, student council, FCA (leader), many hours of community service

Do I stand a chance?

It seems as if you’re fishing for compliments, so I’m going to have to go ahead and crush your dreams: no, you don’t stand a chance.

raise that ACT score… and if you’re in honors and ap classes, you should be able to score pretty well on subject tests. your gpa is high though, I’d say you have a pretty good chance.

Just disregard this. You obviously aren’t fishing for compliments.

Good luck!

Just looked up clemson’s freshmen profile. I think you will be fine with clemson. ACT and GPA looks good.

I say you have a chance. Go for it! :)

Can your family afford the out-of-state cost to attend Clemson? The OOS cost of attendance is $38,000 per year.

Since your OOS, you should try to bring up your ACT score a bit to likely get a scholarship for the OOS portion of your tuition.

You have time to do that. Also take the SAT, you may do better on that.

When we visited Clemson, my son and I really liked it. It’s a very nice school.

However, if cost is an issue, you need to apply to some financial safety schools…schools that cost less or that will give more generous scholarships for stats.
