I am a student at a very prestigious high school that has won several award. I'm currently a Junior and I am in the top 10% of my class. Somewhere around 30/523. My SAT score is an 1800 even but I've only taken the test once so far. My GPA is a 3.67 unweighted, with all honors since 9th grade including 5 AP's. I honestly have no clue how to figure our weighted GPA so I can't provide that. I am on the football team, probably going to be a captain this year. I run winter and spring track. I was just nominated for the Honor Society at my school. I have a part time job at a pharmacy. 2 of my recommendations are from distinguished alumni from the university. I'm taking the SAT again in May and hope to score higher. My goal is to gain acceptance to the Pittsburgh campus of the University of Pittsburgh. What are my chances? Be Brutally honest. Thank You

also can someone explain the college of arts and sciences. what is it? i want to enter Pre-Pharmacy. What would that be considered?

Pitt uses only the CR/M portion of the SAT.

Here is a link to FAQ on admissions criteria. [PART - FAQs](Admissions | University of Pittsburgh - Home)

well for that i have 1230

anyone? :)

I think you will get in, but probably no scholarship

You look good for admissions unless Pre Pharmacy is a special program with more selective criterion than the rest of the university. However, the way things are changing so quickly, it is really impossible to say for sure.

thanks. im perfectly fine with no scholarship. I’m pretty good with the money situation as long as im in. and no pre pharmacy is just school of arts and sciences. i looked it up.

@rocknroll52, what about this quote from their FAQs

any other opinions feel free to respond

well last summer at their info session they said they only looked took into account the SAT CR/M score as you can see they post the mid 50% range for just those two scores.

It seems like the writing score is somehow factored into the “holistic review” but I don’t know what that means perhaps it means if you have a good score it helps you? that would be a good answer :)

According to this website, the prepharm conditional admissions requires being in the top 10% of your class and preferably a 1300 on SATs in order to matriculate into Pitt’s own pharmd program.
[Types of Admission](http://wikis.pharmacy.pitt.edu/groups/PharmDHandbook/wiki/34905/Types_of_Admission.html)

Just to clarify the above, you can still be admitted to Pitt as a pre-pharmacy student without receiving the conditional admissions.

Yeah, i have a friend that just god accepted into the actual pharmacy school after pre pharmacy who lost conditional admission but still got in. Im not really shooting for conditional admissions, as long as i get in
