Hi, I’m currently a freshman at UW Seattle. From my experience, your GPA might be an issue, but your ACT and EC are great. I do think you have a solid chance, just make sure than your personal statement (essay) is on point and well written, best of luck :D

I made it in with a 3.2 GPA., lots of AP classes,3/4 in tests, 1920 SAT, big upward grade trend last two years (fixing freshman year). The essays were probably my main selling point.make sure you write like you know exactly what you want do; i wrote about Biology. also i used ‘extra comments’ to describe personal life goals, and role models. .etc.
i also had 195 community service hours; and i was in a few ECs like cultural clubs, DECA,

my GPA is out of the norm; but it is possible to stand out. You should be fine with great essays. write them months in advance and have teachers/parents look over them. be creative; mine were really out of the ordinary, they probably got their attention.

@shot2k‌ what was your gpa and sat scores? Since you’re admitted, that’d be nice to know
