Do I have a Chance?

I would love to go to Chapman for film/cinema. A bit about me:

-I take mainly honors classes
-I took 3 AP classes this year (Statistics, Physics, and Word Hist.) and am taking two next year (Lit & Comp. and Euro Hist.)
-I have generally a B average, though I also get A's and the occasional C
-I am Secretary of the Teenage Republican Club
-I am Class President
-I have been Homeroom representative in my class
-I have been a grade representative in Student Government Association
-I am a producer for my local channel, channel 19
-This summer I am filming a Star Wars fanfilm Trilogy, with fullblown effects (cgi, lightsaber rotoscopig etc.) to show off some of my filmmaking ability
-I also am shooting a dramatic film right now, plus another short and a documentary in the fall
-I have no applyable score for the SAT, but my projected average schore is between 1400-1500 (that is, of course, with the old SAT)
-I be taking all 5 AP tests
- I will be taking the ACT as well

Do you think I could get accpeted?

Your grades and SAT look good. Less than 10% of applicants were accepted into the film department this fall though, portfolio is a huge factor. If you are strong enough there, then definitely.

Excellent, I believe my portfolio will be strong, thanks for your help!

Yes you definitely sound like a good candiate. The grades are a little low but keep doing well and the SATs should help offset it. Just make sure your portfolio's good as the above poster said.

I agree with all the previous posts. As for the GPA, don't let it slide too far! Do everything you can to start compiling a comprehensive body of work by the time you apply.

Your stats are way above the average at chapman. the average gpa at chapman is like a 3.5 weighted. im not familiar with the difficulty of the film school, but your stats will definetly get you into any other department at chapman. Chapman is not hard to get into at all.
