Do I have a chance??

Asian Female, New York City

Competitive HS, very well know school in NYC

GPA: UW: ~91, ~3.6, school doesn't weight
No ranking in my school
SAT: 700V, 660M, 600W (I’m retaking it)
SAT II: Going to take Physics and Math IIC, 590 in Biology, 600 World History

Courses I’ve taken outside of the core requirements:
Honors English
Honors Journalism
AP World History (5 on exam)
Astronomy
Social Science Intel (a national research competition)

Next Year:
AP Physics B
AP Calc AB

2nd year of Intel

Extra Curriculars: (There aren’t many ECs in my school)
Key Club, Jewelry Club (kind of a fund-raising business), Cooking Club, Manager for JV Volleyball Team for 2 years, On a volleyball team for 1 year (won championships)

Volunteer:
Volunteered at the library for about a year (~100 hours)

Went to Summer Program at Brown University

I don't know if I will be on ARISTA yet but probably (National Honor Society)

**The average GPA University of Michigan accepted from my school was 91.83. Also my school said that UMich was in the "88 GPA" range in our "target selection schools grid."

I want to major in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or Astrophysics.

BTW, what are my chances for Notre Dame, Vassar, Carnegie Mellon, and Wesleyan?

EVERYBODY, BE AS HONEST AS POSSIBLE, NO FEELINGS WILL BE HURT! LMAO!

It's hard to say bc of your odd GPA calculation, but 3.6 isn't very good for UM OOS, and SAT isn't steller (though it is solid). Especially for engineering though. You definitely have a chance, but I would suggest retaking the SAT before submitting your app. I think you are a reach for the other schools because SAT is below avg (don't know about Wesleyan though). Best of luck!

oh yeah, UM doesn't cosider subject tests!

no

(10 char dang!)

raise your gpa to 3.8+ after 1st semester of your senior year
raise your sat to 2050+

otherwise you have a slim chance

no, quit trying.

go apply to Borough of Manhattan Community College or LaGuardia Community College in NYC. It seems like they'll cater to students like you better.

dude what's your problem? you asked people to chance you, didn't like their honest responses, so you put down qualified applicants instead. if you're just joking around, I will feel like an idiot and apologize, but based on the thread you recently started you seem to be posting with a chip on your shoulder...relax.
