Do I have a good chance of getting into Stanford if I applied early?

I’m an international student from Syria, I’ve graduated among the top 1% of students in my country, and I’ve studied in a special school for superior students.

SAT : 1420 (770 math, 650 reading & writing)
SAT Subject Math2: 780
SAT Subject Physics: 790

I’ve participated in the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in Informatics and reached the national level (I was the 14th on my country)

I’m a volunteer in I Believe in Science foundation, which is the largest Arabic science foundation, my work in the foundation included writing scientific articles, translating scientific articles and the latest research papers to Arabic, editing scientific articles written or translated by other volunteers and assisting with the HR department.

I have taken more than 20 online courses, a lot of them are from Stanford, about topics like machine learning, multivariate calculus, advanced algorithms, advanced game theory, the internet of things, …. . some of those courses are postgraduate level. In total I have more than 350 hours of online learning.

In my essays I’ve talked about how I overcame lots of obstacles like the fact that our house was destroyed in the war, lacking an internet connection in my house, lacking electricity for 18 hours a day, my father death a month before my final exams, ……… , and I’ve also talked about my passion for learning and some of the things I hope I will achieve in the future, especially in the field of quantum computing.

yeah especially coming from Syria, that should grab the attention of the committee. Good luck!

No one has a “good chance” of being accepted to Stanford. Even restricted early action has a below 9% acceptance rate.

Your stats put you in the ball park but have match and safety schools.
